Mission
Here at Zmart Hohm, we’re on a mission to provide as many people with high-quality smart home and commercial automation systems as possible. We know that everyday life can be hectic which is why we love to take away some of the stress by providing systems that work in the background to take a number of tasks off your hands.
We’re very aware that there are many systems nowadays that claim to be “smart” but ultimately end up adding more complication to people’s lives. We also appreciate that “smart” systems can be scary and this can result in people sticking to what they know. However, we know that it is possible to add modern-day convenience to any home or commercial building without complicating things. We are committed to providing our customers with all of the benefits that smart technologies can provide while also ensuring that our systems are easy to use, reliable and familiar.
Our Story
After leaving college in 2007, company owner Zach Meek decided to start an apprenticeship with his father’s electrical company in Gloucestershire. The company quickly redirected interests towards the renewable industry with solar panels starting to become increasingly financially incentivised for customers. While working on executive homes across the UK, Zach got to experience several different smart home automation solutions. He could see that this industry was heading in the right direction; however, he also saw that a lot of the systems had old-fashioned products and were limited in terms of features.
That’s why Zach created Zmart Hohm. To offer intelligent home and commercial systems fit for modern properties. To offer systems that give people smart features that make their day-to-day lives easier, without them having to compromise on convenience.
We now work on and supply systems across the entirety of the UK – from large-scale commercial projects like offices and restaurants to typical family homes. We’ve worked on commercial gyms, modern office spaces, MOT testing centres, cocktail bars… the list goes on. However, while the environment might change our commitment to providing intelligent systems that simply work without a complicated level of control will never change.
Our Solution
To offer our customers the best systems possible, we needed to find a solution that provided us with the tools necessary. That’s why the systems we create all use Loxone technology. Loxone has created an established and award-winning home & building automation system – they produce both high-quality software and hardware that allow us to create systems that our customers love.
Since its inception in 2008, well over 200,000 Loxone systems have been created across the globe – so it’s safe to say it’s a trusted system. With 400+ employees Loxone is continuously offering both product and software updates which allow us to reassure our customers that their systems are futureproofed.
In 2021, we officially became one of just a handful of Loxone Gold Partners in the UK. This is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of as it’s an indication of our competence in this industry while also speaking to the number of projects we’ve completed.

Dai had 10 years of experience fixing helicopters in the RAF before starting out in the electrical industry. If you can hear a Tom Jones track playing from the workshop – you know the proud Welsh man will be creating a piece of ZmART!

What makes Zmart Hohm different?
We are a small business, and more often than not, you will speak directly to Zach when you contact our office. Our team takes a personal interest in every job and designs each system specifically for every customer’s individual requirements. We love taking on new and innovative ideas and projects – so don’t worry if you need something quirky or different, we’d love to take it on.
We differ from a lot of companies in this industry as we work alongside electrical contractors to provide a design, supply & commission service. This is because we know that most people already have a good relationship with an Electrician and this allows us to work together and achieve a common goal. We maintain the high quality of panel builds directly from the workshop before following them to site for programming and handover.
ZmART Gallery
To help us deliver the best systems for our customers, we’ve created our very own workshop which is now the hub for all panel builds and distribution – we call this the ZmART Gallery! It’s here that we’ve developed and now create our ‘Signature’ panel range. These panels are built of super high-quality German Weidmuller connection points, Hager overload protection and fully ferruled Tri-Rated cable throughout the panel, all built by a professionally trained ZmArtist. If you opt to go with one of our systems, it will be born and raised in the ZmART Gallery!
